At getpress.com, we have veteran writers and consultants who will help tell your story and then distribute it to those most likely to be interested.

We have categorized our offerings by type of business - Small Business, Privately-Held, Publicly-Held, Not-for-Profit - so that you can easily find the precise type of communication you need. To get started with getpress.com, all you have to do is fill out a questionnaire that gives us the information we'll need to develop your communication.

THE QUESTIONNAIRES
 
Q: Can I simply fax or e-mail information rather than filling out the forms? top of page
A: The information we ask for in the questionnaires is essential to our writing a communication that will help accomplish your goals. That's why it's important for you to begin the process by filling out the form as completely as possible. If there is information that is more easily sent to us via fax or e-mail, we would encourage you to submit it along with your questionnaire as supplemental material.  
Q: What if the questionnaires don't cover all the information that is relevant to my communication? top of page
A: We've tried to be as thorough as possible in developing the questionnaires, but we realize there will be occasions when the forms don't cover all the information that's relevant to your communication. That's why there's a question toward the end of each questionnaire that asks you to provide additional information you'd like us to include in your communication. You may provide your additional points by submitting them with the questionnaire or by forwarding them to us by fax or e-mail.  
Q: Do I have to answer all of the questions when I fill out the questionnaire? top of page
A: Providing answers to all questions will help assure that we are able to create the best possible communication for your needs. We recognize however that some of the information we ask for may not apply to your organization, or that some of it may be particularly sensitive. You need not answer questions that do not apply, and information you do not want made public can be indicated by putting double parentheses at the beginning and end of the sensitive material. Remember, you have final approval over what we write.

TURNAROUND TIME
 
Q: What is the standard turnaround time once I send in the information? top of page
A: Turnaround time is determined by the kind of communication you ask us to create on your behalf, as well as by the circumstances surrounding that communication. We are deadline-sensitive and pledge to work quickly on your behalf, so if there are special timing requirements, be sure to let us know what they are so we can apply the most appropriate resources.  
Q: What if I need something in a special hurry? top of page
A: If special timing is driving your communications needs, the best way for you to deal with us is to pick up the phone and tell us what you need. That way we can assess the situation, make reasonable recommendations and dedicate the appropriate resources.  

RESPONSIBILITIES AND APPROVALS

A: getpress.com works on your behalf, but you are ultimately responsible for the information that is released. We will write and edit your communications based on the information you provide us. If you direct us to distribute your communication, we will do so only after you are entirely satisfied with the communication.  
Q: Do I get to review the wording of my communication before it is distributed? top of page
A: Absolutely. In fact, we will distribute your communication only after you are entirely satisfied.  

DISTRIBUTION
 
Q: Can I designate certain publications I want to receive the information? top of page
A: Certainly. We also are happy to make recommendations on where we think your communication would be best received.  
Q: Who does the follow-up calls to the media? top of page
A: It's up to you. If you'd like getpress.com to make follow-up calls, we will be happy to do so. Our normal consulting fees of $180 per hour will be assessed for this activity.  
Q: How can I tell if anyone used the information, or even looked it over? top of page
A: There is no way anyone can guarantee that your communication will generate news coverage. That decision is made by the news editors and reporters who receive your communication. What we can do is try to assure that your story is presented in a way that promotes its news value, and then be sure that it is targeted to the specific news outlets and individual editors and reporters most likely to cover your story.
